Tunbridge Wells Heritage Open Days 2009 - Willicombe House, Willicombe Park, TN2 3UU

Trinity Theatre and Arts Centre

Willicombe House, now stylishly restored, was once Ravensdale, the final family home of the Victorian developer William Willicombe. His work in Tunbridge Wells included grand houses in Lansdowne Road, Calverley Park Gardens and Sandrock Road as well as terraces of shops in The Pantiles and in the High Street. In the twentieth century Willicombe’s former home became a Barnardo’s Home and the training centre for St Christopher’s nursery nurses. It is now the centre of an Audley retirement village.
