Tunbridge Wells Heritage Open Days 2012 - Spa Valley Railway, West Station, Nevill Terrace, TN2 5QY

Spa Valley Railway, West Station

This heritage steam railway line runs from Tunbridge Wells via Groombridge to Eridge. In the nineteenth century it was the end of the line from London via Croydon, Oxted and Groombridge to Tunbridge Wells and provided connections to Lewes and Brighton. Heritage Open Days visitors get the chance to look round the Victorian engine shed at Tunbridge Wells where rolling stock is undergoing restoration. On view are various steam and diesel locomotives up to 135 years old. For Heritage Open Days admission to the shed is free – usual fares apply for travel on the trains.
