Sissinghurst Castle Garden

For Saturday only, free admission to this famous garden in a ruin, in a farm setting. The world famous gardens were created by Vita Sackville West and Harold Nicolson. The garden has an intimate setting within the grounds of the remains of an Elizabethan mansion. The small romantic compartments are filled with colourful floral displays. Lakeside and woodland walks open. In addition, there are four hundred acres of beautiful Wealden farmland to explore as well as the organic vegetable garden. The National Trust’s welcome hosts will give a fascinating introduction to the history of the site. In the Oast is a new exhibition featuring Sissinghurst during the Seven Years War of 1756-1763.
