A Victorian country house owned by the National Trust, with a ruined castle dating from the fourteenth century. Close to the house is the world renowned garden, with a woodland setting beyond.

Entrance is free on the Saturday only; on the other days of Heritage Open Days weekend the usual National Trust admission charges apply.
