An opportunity for visitors of all ages to learn about the fascinating history of Freemasons, one of the world’s oldest surviving secular fraternal societies. Visitors will be given a tour, to learn about the origins and meanings of the Craft, its inception about four hundred years ago along with links to the Royal Society and the birth of modern science. The collection of commemorative artefacts and photographic archives dates back to the 1920s, when the Lodge 4291 was built (the 4,291st Masonic Lodge in England). The building is home to four Lodges in the area. Some of the charities who benefit from the Freemasons in Paddock Wood will also be present. www.stanleywykehamlodge.co.uk |
