Church of King Charles the Martyr, Tunbridge Wells / KM2005

The original church for the spa town, erected in 1678, later extended in 1682 and 1882 with an unusual layout. This Grade I listed building has been described as the jewel of the Pantiles. The very fine and highly decorated plaster ceilings date from the seventeenth century and are the work of Henry Doogood, chief plasterer to Sir Christopher Wren. Extensive archive displays and small gift shop. Children’s trail available
