Burrswood Christian Hospital, Groombridge

This Grade II listed building was designed in the 1830s by Decimus Burton as a family home for Sir David Salomons, who became the first Jewish Lord Mayor of London in 1855. Since 1948, the house has been home to the Burrswood Christian Hospital founded by Dorothy Kerin. Visitors may explore the two hundred acres of garden and woods surrounding the house as well as hearing a talk about the house.

Talks at 1000 and 1130 will be presented by Dr Philip Whitbourn OBE, author of "Decimus Burton Esquire, Architect and Gentleman"
