From Tailor to Department Store! This year Barsleys is celebrating a hundred and twenty years as a very well-known local family business, which has been part of the local fabric of Paddock Wood for three generations. Artefacts and pictures will be on display, along with fliers about the history of the shop. Mr. Barsley will be on hand to talk with visitors and answer questions. Visitors can enjoy refreshments in the newly refurbished coffee shop with its beautiful glass panels depicting local scenes. The panels have an interesting history – as visitors will learn. Family owned and run department store, established in 1891 as a tailors.
